MCC has a shared vision with the community and the Port of San Diego to reduce harmful air emissions in Barrio Logan, initiating a number of project mitigations to support a cleaner Port. In keeping with local clean-air quality goals, MCC has a deep commitment to deliver projects that are socially responsible by implementing proven clean-air practices. Proposed additional project enhancements include:
- Limiting Operations prior to 2026 (Scaling up with time as market demands)
- Expand ZE Truck Transition Plan to include Achievable Emission Reductions as directed by the Port Commissioners
- Support and participate in Port-wide truck route enforcement program
